What NOT to Bring Because this is a practical exam, you will not need the following items:
What to Expect Take enough time to thoroughly complete the Candidate Information screens. Exam time will not be deducted for completing these sections. The information you provide on the Candidate Information screens will be used to issue your certificate. At the end of the exam, you will receive a printout of your Results Page. Please save this printout for future reference. Pay close attention to how each question is worded. Be precise when answering the questions. Remember the overall exam is timed. While spending a lot of time on an individual answer will not adversely affect the scoring of that particular question, taking too long may leave you with insufficient time to complete the exam. If a question is not properly displayed, or an error message is displayed, please stop working on the exam and raise your hand. If you continue working after an error occurs, the exam may not resume where the error occurred. MICROSOFT OFFICE SPECIALIST EXAMINATIONS:
IMPORTANT Check to make sure you have entirely completed each question before clicking the Next button. Once you click the Next button, you will not be able to return to that question. A question will be scored as wrong if it is not properly completed before moving to the next question. NOTE When a question asks you to print a document, spreadsheet, or graph, no actual printout will take place. The terminology Default Working Folder or Current Directory refers to the folder, which will open when you select File Open. It usually opens the My Documents folder. MICROSOFT OFFICE 2000/XP: Credit is given for partially answered questions. For this reason, it is best to complete as many tasks as possible in each question. We recommend not using Help. However, if you do use Help, always close the Help window before continuing with the question. To ensure questions are properly completed, please do the following:
